What is counseling?
Christian Counseling is the process in which a licensed counselor integrates the timeless truths of the Bible, the tools of the mental health profession and the wisdom of life experience to help those in need experience healing and hope.
Clients seek a counselor for many reasons. Marriage tensions, family tensions, crises, depression, interpersonal conflicts and confusion are just a few. Counseling can help you to identify and unlearn ineffective behaviors while learning more effective ways of doing things. Counseling offers support and encouragement in the process and changes of life.
A graduate of Shorter College, Leah brings years of experience with people to her practice. She is a Licensed Christian Counselor, Certified Professional Life/Leadership Coach, motivational speaker, pastor, teacher, author as well as a wife and mother. Leah is a gifted coach and counselor, but it is her heart, her genuine concern and care for others that makes her so effective.
Using a “coaching approach” to counseling, Leah walks beside her clients helping them to assemble a tool kit for navigating the changes and challenges of life. Leah seeks to challenge, support, stretch and encourage each individual to move from the past and live in the present. Your personal best is achieved when you overcome your past, live fully in the present and look toward the future.
Leah sees individuals (adults and teens), couples and families in a comfortable, safe and confidential environment. She especially loves working with women who are transitioning through change or into the empty nest. Her office is located in Buford, Georgia.
